Overall 5 - Food 9, Ambience 1, Value 5, Service 5

Our party was seeking an evening of fine dining and selected Parkside looking forward to a 5 star experience. The food was lovely and the service probably as good as possible given the distracting ambiance. The number of patrons attending the bar far exceed its' capacity and the overflow gathered at the entrance to the restaurant. With no physical barrier in place, the restaurant ambience was that of a pub. Waiters were unable to hear our requests and several of our orders were missed as a result. In order to converse at the table we resorted to shouting at each other. We will not be returning to Parkside.   (September, 2008)

Overall 7 - Food 8, Ambience 8, Value 5, Service 7

Experience overall was good. some staffs are well trained but a few were not really familiar with their services yet. Environment was romantic but was quickly destroyed by two families with noisy kids on my both sides. Food came in time but one of our dessert was delayed for some reasons. Maybe they ran out of chocolate icecream.

I ordered a steak and my girlfriend ordered a barramundi. my steak with red wine sauce was excellent. nothing to complain about. But the barramundi was too little and too plain. It has a prawn with a big head, but little meat. dessert was average.

but overall was good and i got a 20% discount, but even so, my bill was still over $100 for a 2course dinner for two.   (July, 2008)

Overall 5.8 - Food 6, Ambience 8, Value 2, Service 7

Food was average at best and definitely not worth it's price.

My GF had the "Poached barramundi, lobster ravioli, shellfish bisque" and all it was just a small piece of fish fillet, 3 pieces of ravioli and a shellfish. Fish & Shellfish was overcooked, ravioli was good but nothing special. My GF is a small eater and even she said this didn't fill her up! I had the "Pork cutlet, apple, mushroom, prune crust, calvados cream" which had a decent size cutlet but still not worth it's price. We used Menulog's 20% discount and we still felt it wasn't worth it's money.   (See my reviews (11) - July, 2008)
